Skull and Bones reveal Ubisoft E3 2017

E3 2017: Skull and Bones Announced – Ubisoft’s Pirate Adventure

Ubisoft announced at their E3 2017 press conference that they are releasing the long-rumoured pirate game, Skull and Bones. Following on from a CG trailer, they showed gameplay from it’s multiplayer battles, leading up to the final reveal that the ‘Environment reacts’, showcasing a menacing trailer culminating in a Kraken swimming under a pirate’s ship.

The title appears to be a Ship-based For Honor-style game, with the gameplay trailer showcasing an intense 5v5 multiplayer ship battle. This appears to be the style of the game, where instead of you controlling a pirate and helping control a ship, as seen in Sea of Thieves, you in fact control the ship.

The listing on Ubisoft’s website dictates that you will plot to raid merchant ships as well as fend off rival players’ crews in the multiplayer mode, with an RPG progression system to help build your reputation as the meanest pirate on the seven seas. As long as you avoid environmental hazards, such as the previously mentioned Kraken.

Skull and Bones is scheduled to release in Fall 2018.
