Square Enix recently announced Rise of the Tomb Raider, the sequel to the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, as a timed exclusive to the XB1. Clearly Microsoft shilled out a lot of cash for this timed exclusivity. Beyond just a check, SE is probably benefiting from aid in production or advertising as well. In the end though, it may cost them more than they would have made with a typical multiplatform release.
After looking at the new Bloodborne trailer, we see more of what we’ve come to expect and what the world is like. More importantly though we see what Miyazaki means by wanting to shift combat from passive, as seen in the Souls series, to the aggressive system in Bloodborne. I personally don’t see the purpose of having either one of these yet. PCs are better than consoles in every way unless it’s a console exclusive or an Ubisoft game. If I want to play any of the latest big hitters I can simply use this gaming PC. Bonus, I can always update my PC while I can’t upgrade a PS4.
