After watching Derrick of GameXplain stream a few hours of game play on Twitch, I have to say that Hyrule Warriors looks good. A lot of my fears were alleviated. However, a new can of worms has been opened.

What is “good” DLC?
I recently made a post about Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Sunken King DLC, and the topic of DLC is still fresh on people’s mind’s after the Hyrule Warriors Direct. Many people are complaining that it even has DLC. Well that’s a load of bull. Believe it or not there are good and bad ways to handle DLC.
Hyrule Warriors: Does the “Musou” genre really hurt Zelda?
I’ve previously written about how important Hyrule Warrior’s success is to Nintendo. I think the game will do well, the Legend of Zelda series is a great fit for a Musou styled game. However if you frequent game forums, you’ll be faced with plenty of threads which devolve into how terrible the game will be, because the Musou genre is unpopular in the West.
