I’ve already written about Pokken Tournament for Game Zone, so I’ll keep this brief. Pokken Tournament is what the fighting game genre and community has needed for over a decade: A great entry point. Continue reading Game Rankings 2016: Pokken Tournament

Game Rankings 2016: Twilight Princess HD
I’m very thankful for this particular HD remaster, because my first experience with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was a rough one. The better part of a decade ago, I had quit the game at the first dungeon. Now, I’ve returned to this incarnation of Hyrule and emerged victorious. Game Rankings 2016: Fire Emblem Fates
Before we get into the rankings, I’m going to address the localization briefly. I’ve written about it a decent bit at Game Zone, so there’s no need to go in depth here. It sucks, I think it’s garbage, and I’m glad fans are making a patch to fix the godawful job Treehouse did on this release.
That said, Fire Emblem Fates is an amazing game, and I refuse to let localization woes stop me from enjoying it. Continue reading Game Rankings 2016: Fire Emblem Fates
Game Rankings 2016: Gravity Rush HD
Like most of the gaming community, I do not own a PS Vita. I could never justify the purchase, despite really wanting some of the games on it. It’s everything you’d think a fan could want in a game of this pedigree. Continue reading Game Rankings 2016: Final Fantasy Explorers
Ranking All the Games I Play in 2016 (Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam)
Since my last post, people have started paying me to write for their small-medium sized web sites. It has been fun, but at times there just hasn’t been money in what I want to talk about. Apparently SRPGs and rants about “Holy shit, upgrade your Stamina first in every Souls game!” aren’t exactly money makers. Who knew?
With that in mind, I’ve decided to return and use this site to keep a running tally of new games I play this year, my thoughts on them, how they fall on the spectrum of awesome, as well as other things that just aren’t popular enough for someone to buy articles on.
Today’s post is going to be a bit abbreviated, as the first game I played this year was Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam, which I did a review of over at Game Zone. Continue reading Ranking All the Games I Play in 2016 (Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam)
