Blasphemy: I enjoy Breath of the Wild more because it lacks dungeons

In the lead up to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I went back and played all of the 3D Zelda titles I hadn’t actually completed: Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. Though I wasn’t a fan of how the games became slower to start with each successive iteration’s expansion of boring tutorials, I enjoyed them all very much. I’d say Majora’s Mask was the best, followed by Skyward Sword, and then Twilight Princess (If that order triggers you, hold onto your butts, because this isn’t the most controversial claim I’m going to make). E3 2017: Metal Gear Survive delayed until 2018

Konami’s newest Kojima-less offering to the Metal Gear franchise has seen a fair amount of press recently, and new screenshots have been released for E3 2017. However, it has come to light that the survival-stealth-action-adventure game has will not be released until 2018, previously having been set for release some time this year. Would Mario fit in an open world? Yes.

There’s a lot of buzz about the new “open world” Zelda these days, but Zelda isn’t the only Nintendo franchise that could pull it off. Mario is perfectly suited for an open world adventure. Not only that, but an open world Mario would be one of the most interesting worlds to have adventures in. It would be unique among open world games. Continue reading Would Mario fit in an open world?
