Sledgehammer Games confirms COD WWII not coming to Nintendo Switch

In the ongoing saga of Nintendo’s quest for Third-Party Support, fans can cross another popular title off the list. Sledgehammer games confirmed in an AMA that Call of Duty WWII will not be coming to the Nintendo Switch. This comes in light of multiple developers either not porting their games to the Switch, or being very careful in doing so.

Sledgehammer Games didn’t mince any words in its answer, a redditor asked “Yes or no? Is Call Of Duty WWII coming to Nintendo Switch?” To which SHG replied “No.”

Konami announced recently that PES 2018 will not be coming to the Switch, though they released a statement that “as a company it’s a platform that we’re looking at, for sure.” EA, while FIFA 18 is coming to the Switch, is also taking it slow with the new system. The company announced they plan to use FIFA as a sort of test run, and they will “continue to watch how the hardware does.”

While some third party games will not be coming to the Switch, the success of the console cannot be denied. It’s only a matter of time before the remaining developers come around and jump in on the hype.
