E3 2017: Sony shows off Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite

Capcom has had it really rough lately. Their games are under performing, and their partnership with Sony has allegedly soured due to the poor Japanese sales of the PS4 and general sales of Street Fighter V. Then, rumors that the roster of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite was heavily compromised by Marvel’s petty spat with Fox over characters’ movie rights have proven to be true.

Not to mention that rival fighting game developer Arc System Works has set the gaming community on fire with what has become the greatest fighting game ever made before it has even released.

Capcom desperately needs a win, and though the roster is lackluster and the visuals are less than stellar, there’s still a chance that the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise can deliver, especially if the MCU hype translates to new sales. Something has to break their way eventually, right?

Poor Chun-li, what have they done to you?

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is set to release on September 19, 2017 for PS4, XB1, and PC.

How do you feel about Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite? Are you excited, or worried for the franchise that’s almost fighting game royalty? Sound off in the comments section below.
