Allow me to reacquaint you.
We only got about 2 minutes of Destiny 2, but it was enough to show off their certifiably bad-ass villain. He looks like a Cabal leader, classic warmonger, and will serve as a great antagonist for the story they are trying to tell.
This villain believes he alone is worthy of the travelers light, and seems to have pushed the Guardians to the brink. From this trailer and others, we can expect a rebellion-style story, where you must attack an army much stronger than you, whittling them down until you can strike at the leader. Gameplay like that should make for awesome strike and raid missions.
We have already seen a lot of Destiny 2 (there have been multiple TV spots), but in their final push to Open Beta this should serve to hype people up. If that’s not enough, exclusive content for the PS4 should get people in the mood.
Destiny 2 enters open Beta on July 18th, and fans can get access by pre-ordering the game, which releases on September 6th, 2017.
