Arc System Works is best known for Guilty Gear and their new game engine that brings anime style to life in 3D, in a way that puts traditional cel shaded games to shame. At times it’s really hard to believe their characters are actually 3D models, and not 2D animations. Now, Arc System Works is working on the IP that has needed this stylistic touch for over three decades: Dragon Ball Z.
I’ll have a lot to say about this team up in an upcoming article, but for now, let’s just say that it’s a match made in heaven. If you have any doubts, just look at this trailer and tell me Dragon Ball Fighter Z isn’t already the best DBZ game ever created:
Dragon Ball Fighter Z is coming to PS4, XB1, and PC in early 2018. No word on if/when a Switch port will be available.
