Star Ocean is a once beloved JRPG series that has been on the decline for a while now, but fans found something to look forward to back in March: English PS4 trophies for Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (Star Ocean 3), indicating the PS2 on PS4 port of the game would be coming West. For those unfamiliar with the series, Star Ocean 3 is considered by many to be the last good entry into the franchise. Since the discovery of the trophies there has been no news about the release.
Today however, the official Star Ocean twitter account made its first tweet in months:
It looks like an announcement for the North American PS2 on PS4 release of Star Ocean 3 is imminent. Now the only question remaining is if it will carry on the Square Enix tradition of stupidly long titles, like they did with the announcement of the Japanese release, Ultimate Hits HD: Star Ocean: Till the end of time: Director’s Cut edition
